Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2011 Now Available for On-Premise Deployment

1st Mar 2011

Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2011, the latest release of this leading customer relationship management (CRM) application, is now available for on-premise deployment. This follows the release of the cloud version of the product earlier this year.

Cloud and On-Premise

Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2011 is a truly ground-breaking CRM solution. It is available as cloud and on premises-based, and the functionality of both of these deployment options is almost identical. It's also easy to migrate from cloud to on-premise, or vice versa. For many businesses, this is a great advantage over the majority of other CRM software packages which are available for either on-premise deployment or cloud, but not both.

Scalability

While being popular among small and medium sized businesses, the versatility of the latest release has increased so that Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2011 is a realistic option for organisations of almost any size. Following tests, Microsoft recently announced the product could be scaled up to 150,000 concurrent users in a single instance.

Pricing

If you're currently using Microsoft Dynamics CRM version 4 and have valid software assurance, you can upgrade to Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2011 licenses free of charge (this does not include professional services costs, which are chargeable). If you're buying Microsoft Dynamics CRM licenses for the first time, there has been no increase in price between version 4 and 2011. And if you choose the cloud-based Microsoft Dynamics CRM Online, there's an introductory price of only £22.75 per user per month. There are also some extremely enticing cash-back offers available for organisations switching from applications such as Salesforce.com and Oracle.

Features and functionality

Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2011 delivers exceptional power and functionality. The software has a familiar look and feel, is easy to use, is designed to fit in with varying job roles and is straightforward for users to personalise. It also has great reporting tools, dashboards and data visualisation capabilities, and is packed with innovative features. What's more it can also be customized way beyond CRM into true 'xRM' or 'anything' relationship management.

As well as being available on-premise and in the cloud, Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2011 is now also available for hosting by accredited Microsoft partners.
